people who think this is real are fucking stupid… first of all its zipped part way already in the back of the tongue, and separated in the front, this it technically possible, but if you have ever had the zipper slip on a jacket you know how hard you have to try to slip it back…

now try to yank metal on your tongue and see if anyone is that stupid to really do this.

Uh…to those of you calling this pic on the basis that it’s an ACTUAL zip – it wouldn’t be, now would it? It’s quite feasible that that’s a split tongue with a series of small piercings designed to look like a zip. No one would get an actual zip installed in their tongue. Hey, it could be a shop and probably is, but it’s not all that unimaginable as a piercing. I’d imagine it would be hella awkward, though.

First off, there are MANY, people with their tongues split. This is a common practice. Second…the zipper is OBVIOUSLY just visual art, not intended to function. The zipper teeth are either small piercings, or clipped on, (or photoshopped on to exploit the body mod) Eitherway…it IS possible, would be extremely painful, and I’d say in all reality…after some of craazay $hit i’ve seen…this isn’t even remotely beyond possiblity! Now, can someone help me find all my internets…please?

Shopped because the body rejects intrusions? You mean intrusions like tongue piercings? Plenty of people have them, just as plenty of people have split tongues. She has piercings on the lip, it’s quite possible that she has a funky one on her tongue too.

But besides all that, it does look shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

obvious fake. shadow discrepancies btw toung edge and pull which are suposedly at almost equal distances from chin. especially at left edge of zipper pull. i don’t thin that this was meant to fool people into thinking it’s a real mod. it should be taken as art and nothing more.

btw the girl has a spilt tounge. that is the only way this worked. u wouldnt be able to do this if u had a normal tounge.

actually it is real and is comfortable it is a whole piercing but does not go all of the way back you can still eat with it and talk and all that good stuff and i have one and it is just fine and if you want it taken out you can and they will stitch it back up and go on with your life

Okay, you guys, look. This piercing is fully possible–split tongues exist, and tongue piercings exist–however, this specific picture is a fake. The shadows and pixels prove that it’s photoshopped. Anyone who’s arguing that it’s fake ‘CUZ IT’S IMPOSSIBLE’ are wrong, but it still is fake. That just doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.
However, the guy saying that he has this piercing IS lying–it’s impossible to stitch up a split tongue, as it heals into two separate muscles. That would be like stitching your legs together and having them magically turn into one leg.

This picture is fake. Though slit tongues do exist (which I think is sick). The handle or zipper driver or whatever its called is at the end. This means it’s not real the handle would be on the zipper.
